A number of tutorials are found in the official handbook Nobody Knows Shoes. It's full of sample programs and explanations and illustrations. Too easy. You can acquire a copy from Lulu or, in March of 2008, it will be available here freely in HTML or PDF.
Aside from that, you can pick up a lot of stuff from the web and the mailing list.
