r413 (unix) incompatible with some sample apps

anim-move.rb and vJot.rb from the samples directory, and Tieg's othello as published on the ml, do not run correctly with Shoes at rev. 413 on Linux.

[update: vJot was broken in the move from 411=>412. anim-move and othello were OK at 412, but are broken at 413.]

[why]

r417 is in response to these. My sincere thanks, DeeJay?. Tracking down the specific revisions with problems helps a whole lot. You do fine, fine work.
