While I'm not terribly experienced at creating e-builds, 
here's one I'd cobbled together for my own use for Shoes 
Curious. I hadn't gotten around to an svn one yet, though.

It goes in your local overlay, as 
dev-ruby/shoes/shoes-396.ebuild:
