The final program is lesson 1 is neither run nor fully explained

The final Upto program in lesson 1 (tried last night on my girl, a complete newbie to programming) is never run (I mean the tutorial never prompted her to run it) nor adequately explained (blocks, the 'do' command, the way 1.upto(name.length) qualifies the do, and the role of |x| -- all not clear).

Also, the owner.dog analogy is problematic, if only because both owner and dog are nouns; it would make better sense, I think, to have a verb stand for the method.
